The degradation process is quite fast, and after 4 to 5 days you can already recover some liquid fertilizer. When the bucket is full, a final 40ml layer of activator is spread and the lid is closed for 14 days. However, you can continue to draw off the fermentation liquid every 3-5 days. After about 2 weeks, the content of the bokashi has not changed much in appearance, but it is ready to be buried directly in the garden soil, or to join the compost pile.
