Pour compléter la production en gaz, on peut vouloir utiliser la gazinière avec d'autres sources de gaz. Si la gazinière est raccordée au gaz de ville, il est facile d'ajouter une vanne de gaz à trois voies, sur laquelle on pourra brancher deux entrées (le biogaz en provenance du méthaniseur, et le gaz naturel en provenance du réseau) que l'on choisira d'ouvrir en fonction des besoins
