This solar cooker has been designed by Suresh Vaidyarajan - an architect, who has found a simple solution for a tough problem. This design can be made from items that people no longer need (rubbish) making it potentially free. There are no tools needed to create this cooker. It will be cooking for you in no time!

Introduction

There is a tremendous shortage of wood, kerosene and fuel for cooking in many place in the world. This design uses the sun- a free, re newable source of energy.

Car inner tube

Flat piece of wood

Polystyrene foam

Black pot or pan

A pain of glass

Emergency blanket

Outils

Étape 1 - Step 1

place tyre tube on polystyrene. Place tube and polystyrene on wooden slab.




Étape 2 - Step 2

Wrap the emergency blanket arounf the tire tube- tuck in. Place your black pot with food inside the middle of the tube.




Étape 3 - Step 3

place the glass ontop of the tyre. There should be no gaps.




Étape 4 - Step 4

the sun will cook your food for you!
